I Can See Clearly Now
So, today I had an appointment at the optometrist. But I'll work up to that.
I hate how my dad does not want to learn no matter how hard anyone tries to teach him. I've told him numerous times that he needs to clean out the grinder he uses to grind the coffee beans every morning, but he doesn't think he needs to. However, today proves it. Yesterday he brewed Gazebo Blend, which definitely has a cirtusy, tart taste. And today he brewed Anniversary Blend, which normally has a spicy, barely earthy taste.
Today, drinking what should have been Anniversary Blend, I tasted something odd; it was citrus. He brewed Anniversary grounds and Gazebo grounds together. Worst blend ever. And all because he doesn't clean the grinder.
After school, I hit up Starbuck's, then proceeded to the optometrist. It was time for a check-up or whatever, but I was also interested in getting contacts. So, to make a long story short, they did the normal tests, taught me how to put contacts in and take them out, and gave me a trial pair and an appointment for next Thursday.
I have the contacts in right now, and it's awesome, because I can wear sunglasses without having to sacrifice perfect vision, and I really don't feel them. Anyways, I went back to Starbuck's after the appointment and hung out.
Meigan and I set our bake-off date for Sunday. We both claim that we can make the best brownies (mine being my school-wide-famous S'mores Brownies) and so we're competing. We're both gonna bring in our batches to the store on Sunday and have the other partners be judges. I'm gonna win for sure.
Four emo kids came into the store while I was there because there is a show at the Boardwalk tonight. I quickly noticed that emo kids really like Chai. I think three of the four ordered Chai drinks. It may just be musicians however, as my good friend/guitar prodigy Jon likes Chai, but is definitely not emo.
About ten minutes later, when Kelly came back from cleaning up the outside of the store, I noticed she had taken my old fogey sunglasses with her. When she came in, she said the emo kids had asked, "Where'd you get those?" I was glad to see that other people like my sunglasses. I'm excited about the world sharing the same vision as I when it comes to sunglasses, but I would not be happy if the only people to start wearing sunglasses were emo kids. Especially the sweaty ones because they insist on wearing tight pants on hot days.
